- Event 1 – International Kick off Meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia
Participation: The event involved 53 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy, 1 participant from the city of Most, Czech Republic, 2 participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 1 participant from the city of Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, 1 participant from city of Podgorica, Montenegro, 1 participant from city of Belgrade, Serbia, 1 participant from city of Krusevac, Serbia, 1 participant from city of Krakow, Poland, 1 participant from city of Valladolid, Spain, 1 participant from city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, 1 participant from city of Maribor, Slovenia, 1 participant from city of Daugavpils, Latvia and 39 participants from the city of Bratislava, Slovakia
Location / Dates: The event took place in Bratislava, Slovakia, from 08/10/2015 – 10/10/2015
Short description: The main aim of this event was for the partners in this project to meet together and discuss the Homo Europeanus project, to define the objectives of and the strategies for the implementations of the activities, and the process to be followed throughout the project. During the event, the partners drew up a clear strategy that would ensure the quality implementation of the project, created our communication and dissemination plans, divided the tasks between the partners and defined the main topics for continuation of the project. Event also included round table discussion “Our common Europe” where participants discussed the EU solidarity between Member States and refugee status in modern Europe.
- Event 2 – Awareness raising international conference in Belgrade, Serbia
Participation: The event involved 178 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy, 1 participant from the city of Most, Czech Republic, 2 participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 1 participant from the city of Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, 1 participant from city of Podgorica, Montenegro, 1 participant from city of Belgrade, Serbia, 1 participant from city of Krusevac, Serbia, 1 participant from city of Krakow, Poland, 1 participant from city of Valladolid, Spain, 1 participant from city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, 1 participant from city of Maribor, Slovenia, 1 participant from city of Daugavpils, Latvia and 165 participants from the city of Belgrade, Serbia.
Location / Dates: The event took place in Belgrade, Serbia, from 03/12/2015 – 05/12/2015
Short description: The Conference was dedicated to the importance of the Civic Education subject in the educational system and its role in the construction of active citizenship. Furthermore, results of the Homo Europeanus Survey were also presented and panel discussion on the process of accession of Serbia to the European Union was held. During the second day, public had the opportunity to hear more about the “Europe for Citizens” program and other EU programs that provide different opportunities to young people – education, volunteering, mobility and employment within the EU Member States.
- Event 3 – Training for Citizens activators in Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

Short description: The main aim of this event was to provide the participants with the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and competences concerning the active citizenship concept, awareness raising campaign development, creation of mechanisms that should enable European citizens to develop civic competences, communication channels that are open for dialogue between European institutions and citizens, skills to motivate others, tools to manage the international campaign at local level. Participants, during this event, explored context in relation to fostering initiatives, presented good examples of campaigns implemented in their countries, expanded their knowledge on communication skills and audience development and used different communication tools available online in order to develop national awareness raising campaign. As the final outcome, national teams of each partner organization had to present a national campaign plan that will help into raising the awareness on the importance of active citizenship, citizenship education and empowered civil sector in general.
- Event 4 – Homo Europeanus Citizens’ Forum in Zadar, Croatia
Participation: The event involved 158 citizens including 3 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy, 8 participants from the city of Most, Czech Republic, 99 participants from the city of Slavonski Brod and Zadar, Croatia, 1 participant from city of Podgorica, Montenegro, 3 participants from city of Belgrade, Serbia, 2 participants from city of Krusevac, Serbia, 8 participants from city of Krakow, Poland, 8 participant from city of Valladolid, Spain, 2 participants from city of Dauvgapils, Latvia, 7 participants from city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, 2 participants from city of Maribor, Slovenia, 5 participants from the city of Bratislava, Slovakia and 10 participants from the city of Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, 2 participants from city of Madeira, Portugal, 1 participant from Netherlands, 2 participants from Japan, 2 participants from Indonesia, 5 participants from city of Konya, Turkey, 5 participants from city of Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina and 1 participants from Vietnam.

Short description: The Forum presented best practices when speaking about concept of active citizenship, citizenship education, fighting youth unemployment, intercultural education and the role of civil society in all of the stated areas. Guests and speakers of the Citizens Forum were not only members of partner organizations, but also representatives coming from Netherlands, Portugal, Thailand, Vietnam, Peru, Indonesia and Japan. The activity managed to gather experts in the field of citizenship education, members of NGOs, school staff, citizens and many others under the same goal – to learn from each other’s experiences.
- Event 5 – Homo Europeanus Network establishing meeting in Veliko Trnovo, Bulgaria
Participation: The event involved 54 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy, 1 participant from the city of Most, Czech Republic, 2 participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 2 participant from the city of Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, 1 participant from city of Podgorica, Montenegro, 2 participant from city of Belgrade, Serbia, 1 participant from city of Krusevac, Serbia, 1 participant from city of Krakow, Poland, 1 participant from city of Valladolid, Spain, 1 participant from city of Maribor, Slovenia, 1 participant from the city of Dauvgapils, Latvia, 1 participant from city of Bratislava, Slovakia and 39 citizens from city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.

Short description: Main topic of the meeting in Veliko Tarnovo was foundation of the Homo Europeanus Network – network that should continue to fulfil the aims and objectives of the Homo Europeanus project. Therefore, all of the partners discussed terms and conditions which will apply to the statute of the HE Network. Furthermore, all of the partners received Status Reports which stated their situation regarding the project implementation after which the discussion about the final conference in Bologna took place.
- Event 6 – Final conference in Bologna, Italy
Participation: The event involved 70 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Most, Czech Republic, 1 participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 1 participant from the city of Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, 1 participant from city of Podgorica, Montenegro, 1 participant from city of Belgrade, Serbia,1 participant from city of Krakow, Poland, 1 participant from city of Valladolid, Spain, 1 participant from city of Maribor, Slovenia, 1 participant from the city of Dauvgapils, Latvia, 1 participant from city of Bratislava, Slovakia, 1 participant from city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria and 57 participants from city of Bologna, Italy.
Location / Dates: The event took place in Marseilles, France, from 27/11/2016 – 30/11/2016
Short description: Final conference in Bologna was designed as a public even where citizens of Bologna could find out more information about various European programs such as EVS, Europe for Citizens, European Citizens Initiative, Erasmus + and other European youth related policies such as Youth Guarantee. Furthermore, partners had a meeting where they discussed project reporting and financial aspects, final evaluation and follow up.
