Youth action towards respecting EU common Values
Europe House Slavonski Brod organized and implemented a Round Table 3 “Youth discussions with Politicians” under the European Project “Youth action towards respecting EU common Values” and acronym “EUVALUE”, was held in Slavonski Brod, Croatia on 9th December. 2022.
A Round Table entitled Round Table 3 “Youth discussions with Politicians” under the European Project “Youth action towards respecting EU common Values” and acronym “EUVALUE” was organized in order to give to young people the opportunity to learn the available tools and methodologies to engage themselves in politics at this turning point EU is facing due to the raise of Euroscepticism & the lurking problems COVID-19 brought on the forefront and hosted by Europe House Slavonski Brod in Slavonski Brod, Croatia on December 9th 2022.
The venue was the Youth Centre, Ante Starčevića 11, 35000 Slavonski Brod
The Town was represented was Slavonski Brod.
The consortium was consisted of 8 EU countries: Latvia, Montenegro, Greece, Austria, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Germany.
The entire goal of this event was to promote the perspective of the perspective of active citizenship, including disadvantaged youth as it is evident that socioeconomic level plays a crucial role in political engagement and developing controversial behaviors. The successfully planned Round Table 3 “Youth discussions with Politicians” was a part of a holistic attempt to understand the level of integration of politics in youth organizations and their role into fostering political engagement of youth into EU politics, by expressing their concerns and vision towards common challenges related to the European identity, diversity and the future of Europe among them and debate on their views of EU politics, policies and decision-making processes.
In these two days of the event were involved more than 50 participants.
During the event, it was discussed how they are facilitating and increasing young involvement in politics. Participants were young citizens along with experts on EU politics and PPs members. The event was open to different audiences and participants from all over EU are invited, focusing on how to best mobilize one’s personal resources and elevate active political participation and engagement, together with information on EU policies and decision-making process.
